Artist Statement & Biography

“I was introduced to art at an early age and took special interest in the organic forms of the human figure, which is a constant for much of my work. The body of work presented in this website includes ceramics, painting and mixed media. The medium I choose presently is clay but I am evolving into adding wood, wire, and found objects. Ceramics are typically either low-fire terra cotta and adding paint or a patina; or with the spontaneous outdoor Raku method of firing. Every now and then a stoneware platter comes out of the studio session!”
